SHR Captain Samuel to the Max JH (Sam)
Sam is a beautiful male Golden Retriever. He has a soft mouth and a strong hunt drive. He is a pleasure to hunt behind. When not hunting or training he prefers to find stuffed animals from our daughters bedroom and carry them around the house. He will not shred them but he does like to pull the eyes off of them. Sam comes from working parents and his pedigree boast 2 Field Champions, 3 Master Hunters, and 2 Junior Hunters titles. Sam has earned his AKC Junior Hunter title, his HRC Started Dog title, his Canine Good Citizen Certificate, and has his Therapy Dog title also. He has worked in a St Paul High School and the local nursing home. Sam loves to continues hunt training and has a great nose for birds. More than once he has hunted up a bird while on a walk, caught it live, and retrieved it to hand unharmed.

JH Firesides Makin' Maple Syrup (Mae)
Mae has her Junior Hunter title and she has a cannon of a launch off of the line as she heads for the mark. She easily finished her JH title in the spring of 08. She has an awesome marking ability and the drive to make her an impressive retriever. She has clearances for her Hips, Elbows, and eyes. In addition, she is normal for the PRA-pcrd marker. She is registered with AKC and with UKC. Thank you Susan and Pat Shelmadine for allowing this beautiful and hard driving girl to be a part of our lives. |

Topbrass Diamonds Rubies and Pearls (Ruby) Ruby joined us this summer from Topbrass kennel. She has an impressive pedigree and is just starting her training. All is fun for Ruby as she delights in picking up and retrieving anything that is not nailed down. She is exceptionally calm and easy going in the house but is all retriever when we start go outside for training. Below are 6 month old pictures. She still has her baby "fluff" but under all that fur she she has good bone structure and developing good muscle.

Mae and Sam relaxing in the house on the picture to the left. Very unusual for neither retriever not to be holding a toy or bumper! Sam is often indignant at Mae and her lack of knowledge in the fine art of "honoring". Mae has no problem stealing whatever toy Sam has in his possession. Mae is only about 6 months old in this picture. On the right Mae and Amber are sitting for a "cookie". Mae was about 3 months old at the time.
Sam is the best babysitter on earth. He knows the babies are small and fragile and is a gentle as could be. All of the puppies flock to him and he loves to have them crawl all over him. Pictured below is Fonzie who is now living with Terrie and her family in Burnsville Mn

and her grandsire on her dam's side is AFC Rosehill's Mr. Speaker.
