Here are the last pictures of the pups.  Most are going to their new homes this week. 

Most of the pictures I take look like this one.  Lots of puppy butts and few faces - all their noses are too the ground and they are exploring their world.

Today was another big day.  All the shots are complete so pups got to go out and play in the "big yard".  It was great fun for all of them.  Here are a few pictures of them.

Today was a big day - it was moving day for the pups.  They were ready for a big dog kennel.  So off they moved to one of our indoor/outdoor kennels - right next to Mom!!  Everyone was so excited to see each other.  One of the benefits of this kennel arrangements is that it encourages the pups to potty outside!!!  I could already see the results by the end of today.  There were very few accidents in the indoor part of the kennel - outside was another story!!

Hard to believe that pups are going to be 6 weeks old in a few days.

 

Sam is always the best baby sitter with the pups.  I could not resist taking a few pictures as he gently tried to get the pups to play with him.

 

 

At 4 weeks old the personalities are starting to come out.  Some are not liking the weaning process so much and they mob poor Mae when she is allowed into the whelp box.  To help Mae dry, she is only allowed into the whelp box 3 times a day.  Of course the pups need socialization with adult dogs as well as people so some of our other adult dogs are starting to play with the pups.  Ruby, who is expecting her own litter the end of next month is an especially gentle and loving auntie to the pups.  Sam, the resident "old man" is always tolerant of pups crawling all over him.

Puppies got their 4 week shots today and, weather permiting, they will get their first walk outside later this week.

Puppies at 3 weeks old.  They are growing well and have just started on soft puppy food

 

 

Puppies are starting to see well and their ears are open too.  We know because they like to hear their own little voices!  They looking more like litte prairie dogs than Golden Retriever puppies.

 

18 Days old and they are starting to walk instead of crawl

Pups are hoping Mae will give them their breakfast

 

Here are the puppies at 9 days old.  They have fat little bellies and their coats are glossy.
